On December 23rd there were many smiles and much gratitude in Terre Blanche as thirteen women celebrated their graduation from the Women’s Trade School. Congratulations to the graduates!
In recognition of their hard work in this three-year program and passing the national exam, Haiti Foundation of Hope gifted each graduate a new treadle sewing machine. This gift is their tool for life and we pray God will bless the work of their hands.

Graduates with their treadle sewing machines
The success of this program in Terre Blanche is due in part to Mme Alourde who has faithfully led and taught this curriculum for over 20 years. Several years ago, Mme Samantha, a Women’s Trade School graduate herself, became a co-teacher in the program. We are grateful for these dedicated women who teach and inspire their students.
The total number of graduates is now 112!
