What’s in a name?
I did a Google search for “Haiti + Hope.” It returned hundreds of pages of websites of Haiti and the word Hope associated with it. Haiti Foundation of Hope showed up on the second page of over 15 pages.
C.S. Lewis wrote this about hope.
“Hope is one of the Theological virtues. This means that a continual looking forward to the eternal world is not (as some modern people think) a form of escapism or wishful thinking, but one of the things a Christian is meant to do. It does not mean that we are to leave the present world as it is. If you read history you will find that the Christians who did most for the present world were just those who thought most of the next.”
The above quote is describing you:
- You who pray for Haiti . . .
- You who give to HFH . . .
- You are giving real hope.
- There is a transformation going on, the present world is changing because of the hope you bring.
THANK YOU!
Hebrews 6:18-20 (NIV) “God did this so that, by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled to take hold of the hope set before us may be greatly encouraged. We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain, where our forerunner, Jesus, has entered on our behalf…” This a the hope that changes things.
