Inspired by the Clinic of Hope Staff

A Challenge

Haiti Foundation of Hope began 2026 with a board meeting on January 3. Every HFH board meeting opens with a story and a prayer led by a board member. At this meeting, board member Ron Whitted shared a challenge with those present, which we now share with you.

In the Christian community, we often talk about being the hands and feet of Jesus. I think the staff of the Clinic of Hope truly exemplified that with their 2025 Christmas Eve and Christmas Day free health clinics in the villages of Dubedou and Finel. (Sharing Hope at Christmas tells the story of the free clinics.)

In the U.S., we are typically winding down and relaxing on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day – but not in Terre Blanche. The clinic staff packed up their gear and headed out to serve. I am so impressed and inspired by their dedication and love for their neighbors.

For 2026, may we all resolve to be like the HFH clinic staff and go out of our way to find opportunities to better serve and demonstrate the love of Jesus to our friends and neighbors.

Matthew 25:40:  And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’

Pastor Delamy said, “Dubedou and Finel deserve a Christmas of health, dignity, and hope. And we are happy to serve, happy to share, and happy to support life.”
