The Clinic of Hope in Terre Blanche has an excellent reputation in Haiti. The Haitian Ministry of Health has long recognized this and has been working with the clinic since 2014 in providing personnel and medication support for the treatment of HIV and tuberculosis.
One of the staff members responsible for the great care that patients receive at the clinic is Fredeline St. Juste, RN. Fredeline is multi-talented and has been working at the clinic since 2014. Among her many responsibilities, she is the director of the tuberculosis treatment program, volunteers to accompany patients during transport to area hospitals, and is often the first person to see and assess urgent cases at the clinic. Outside the clinic, Fredeline is involved in the Community Health Program’s Rally Posts, which provide education and care for mothers and their young children.
Like the other clinic staff, Fredeline joins visiting medical teams at the clinic and works side-by-side with American medical and support staff. Despite the language barrier, she has formed working relationships and friendships with many visiting team members.
