Pastor Delamy has dreamed of a school bus for Terre Blanche for more than 10 years! In March, he was able to purchase a used bus for the ministry because of generous donations from HFH supporters. Praise God this dream has come true!
Pastor Delamy and Elvire communicated their joy and excitement about the long-dreamed-for bus:
“God is making miracles through Haiti Foundation of Hope. The school bus is a very significant gift from God through you! It is a new big thing in the kingdom of God in Terre Blanche. Praise the Lord! Thanks to God and thanks to all of you. May God bless you richly!
This bus will have many uses…
More than 800 students are enrolled in the pre-k, primary and secondary schools. Many of these students live beyond the village of Terre Blanche and were getting to school anyway they could – walking, running, hitching rides on motorcycles and even riding in a dump truck. But not anymore! With two trained drivers, the students are now riding to school in safety.
It will also be transportation for many of the teachers and Clinic of Hope staff and support personnel who do not live locally. In the dangerous conditions in Haiti these days, a reliable and safe mode of travel is a true blessing and helps to attract and keep excellent professionals in the clinic and schools.
It is Delamy’s hope for the future that local entrepreneurs will be able to take their fruits, vegetables or other products to larger markets where they will be able to get better prices for their goods.
We are rejoicing with Pastor Delamy and Elvire and join them in thanking all of our precious, generous donors. Because of your faithful giving, this 10-year dream has become a reality. Thank you!
