It has started raining in Terre Blanche. This is great news. The area has been suffering from drought and was the driest anyone could remember when members of the visiting medical team saw it in March. It started to rain last week. The river is now full, the cisterns are full, and the ground is no longer parched. People are beginning to plant crops. There is much joy in Terre Blanche.

Hunger and starvation are profound in Haiti right now. Malnourished children are everywhere, not just in the impoverished and rural communities that HFH serves. Recently, mothers came from all over to receive help from the Clinic of Hope for their malnourished children. They received Medika Mamba, a fortified peanut butter, for their sick children as well as a large bag of rice to take home and share with their families.
