We are excited to share that the container with all the parts for the solar project has finally cleared customs! While this process took about five months longer than expected – we are grateful that the materials have now arrived safely.
During the delay, Brighten Haiti moved on to complete several smaller school solar projects on their to-do list. As soon as those projects are finished, work will begin in Terre Blanche. The new start date for the solar project installation is mid-March.
As I write this, I am thinking of another source of power. Isaiah 40:29 reads like a promotion for renewable energy: “He gives strength to those who are tired, to the ones who lack power, He gives renewed energy.” This power doesn’t require waiting. We have seen this power time and time again in the work at Terre Blanche with HFH.
When I look at all that God has done – and continues to do – in Haiti, I am truly amazed. We have had the power of the “Son” all along the way.
