Seven Months After Hurricane Matthew

Because you Gave

Hurricane Matthew struck Haiti seven months ago, on October 4, 2016. The crops in Terre Blanche and the surrounding area were all destroyed due to heavy rain and winds. In an area where reliance on individual gardens and crops along with limited income and employment, Hurricane Matthew caused great hardship for families.

Because you responded so generously to meet the need during this difficult time, local volunteers were able to distribute rice and beans to the neediest. The relief funds also bought seeds and fertilizer to help farmers recover. Our in-country partners report good results with more than three 50-pound bags of beans harvested so far. Other crops are growing and there is hope for a good harvest.

Thank you for responding to the need and giving hope.
