Haitian Medical Team to Anse Rouge, January 2020.

“Blessed are those who have regard for the poor; the Lord delivers them in times of trouble. The Lord protects them and preserves them. They are counted among the blessed in the land.”  Psalm 41:1-2a

Pastor Delamy shared this news:

A medical team comprised of Haitian medical professionals traveled to Anse Rouge, January 6-11, 2020. This was the first time to have a full week of medical services with only Haitian doctors and nurses. Dr. Catiana Joseph, from the Clinic of Hope, was the medical director for this team with Pastor Delamy and Madam Elvire involved in the planning.

There were more than fifteen medical professionals including four doctors and eight student nurses. Dr. Ludonise Joseph, a dentist from Gonaives who works one day a week at the Clinic of Hope, was also on the team.

While Haitians from the Clinic of Hope, Gonaives and other locations provided the medical care, the Yakima Covenant Church supported the team financially. What a beautiful picture of God’s people working together.

The Lord blessed that week in a way which was beyond our imagination. Over 600 patients were seen, including dental patients, OB/GYN patients and ultrasounds.

The Lord has been with us to fulfill His work and may His Name be praised!

** The HFH board celebrates with all those who served on this medical team to provide care to those in Anse Rouge. May this be the first of many Haitian medical teams.
