In early April, under the guidance of Elvire and Dr. Montumaire, a group of volunteers visited the prison in Gonaives.
During this daylong event, over 700 inmates were ministered to. Two meals were served, hygiene kits were distributed and Dr. Montumaire oversaw a mobile clinic to treat the inmates.
The team also spent time in prayer in front of each room where prisoners are housed.
Elvire and her team served with love, compassion, mercy, dignity and respect.
Pastor Delamy was quick to thank the Haitian Leadership Committee and Yakima Covenant Church for their donation for this ministry.
“Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.” Colossians 3:12
