The opportunity shared below caused Pastor Delamy to say: “Things happening in Terre Blanche now — it is beyond my greatest dreams!”
The State Health Department in Gonaives had contacted the Clinic of Hope to ask if they would be interested in hosting a mobile clinic on Saturday, May 30, the day before Haiti’s Mother’s Day celebration.
This opportunity served not only as a celebration of the women and mothers but also as a meaningful acknowledgment of the Clinic of Hope’s success, strong reputation, and continued impact within the community.
The Health Department provided more than 30 staff members—including nurses, doctors, and lab technicians—as well as the medical supplies needed to operate this free clinic for women. They worked alongside the Clinic of Hope’s staff.
Pastor Delamy said this experience reminded him of the clinic weeks when HFH would send teams from the United States. Seeing the all-Haitian team, in partnership with Haiti’s Health Department, felt like a dream coming to life.
This special clinic was open to all women in the wider Terre Blanche area. Free pap smears, breast exams, and ultrasounds were offered, as well as teaching the women how to perform self-tests. Dental care and vaccinations were also available. Over 370 people were served and 175 received vaccinations.
Kudos to the staff of the Clinic of Hope for continuing to be noticed as a leading medical facility for the region! We rejoice with Pastor Delamy in how God is using the Clinic of Hope to touch lives in the name of Jesus.
