In the aftermath of the assassination of Haitian President Jovenel Moise on July 7, work continues in Terre Blanche but with heightened security and awareness.
Please pray for the country of Haiti that peace would reign and for safety for our in-country partners who continue the work God has given them.
An Update from Pastor Delamy:
“Service in Haiti in these days is not easy, but we have no choice. Jesus has called us to serve when the sky is clear or when it is extremely cloudy.”
Yesterday a rally post was held in Dubedou under the leadership of community health volunteer supervisor Jonathan Joseph. Other community health volunteers from Mammel and Dubedou, along with Madam Elvire and Belina, provided assistance.
This rally post addressed the following:
- Education – updating people on the current health issues.
- Screening for severely malnourished children and putting them on the Medika Mamba program.
- Meeting with pregnant women to give education based on their individual needs, to share food from the HFH food distribution program and to give out mosquito nets provided by the Haitian Public Health Department.
- Food was also shared with a few other families who came. The HFH food distribution program also continues through the Clinic of Hope.
Pastor Delamy concludes with these word: “We cannot give this quality of service without God through HFH and its supporters. Thank you! We continue to covet your prayers. It is getting harder every day.”
