Some of the latest news we’re hearing from Haiti:
- We’ve received a report that the clinics, hospitals and labs in the area of Gonaives, a city north of Port-au-Prince, have been “bursting at the seams.” This is the same area where the Clinic of Hope is located. The Clinic of Hope is supported by Haiti Foundation of Hope and is staffed by Haitian medical personnel. It is also able to house visiting medical teams.
- Pastor Delamy, an in-country partner with Haiti Foundation of Hope, has been working in Port-au-Prince, buying and distributing supplies such as beans and rice. He plans to purchase more supplies in Gonaives and bring them back to the people in Port-au-Prince.
- Linda Markee, a board member for the foundation, who is volunteering in the capital city, sent this photo of a patient along with these words: “How great to see people leave the hospital after surgery, smiling with hope.”
