Unfortunately, we read articles and see pictures of things happening in Haiti that make us sad.
The HFH board was sent pictures of the school children in Terre Blanche. When I opened the email and saw the pictures of the children lined up and ready to go to school, it brought me joy.
Students lined up for flag raising before classes begin.
It brought me joy for several reasons:
- Joy because I know the work of Haiti Foundation of Hope has improved the lives of these children.
- Joy because there are primary and secondary schools for these children in their own community.
- Joy because there is a church where the gospel of Jesus Christ is preached and lives are transformed.
- Joy because there is access to the Clinic of Hope right where they live so medical needs can be met.
I am filled with joy and I am so happy these children have stability and are insulated from some of the troubles around their country.
With the help they receive from Haiti Foundation of Hope these children and their community have hope for the future.
