The six weeks before Easter, the Lenten season, is a time of intentional self-reflection for many Christians.
We meditate on the Desolation of how far we are from the perfection of the Kingdom of God – both in our personal lives and in the broken world we are living in.
As Easter approaches we have the Consolation of knowing God will never abandon us. Nor will He abandon the world that He created and is in the process of redeeming.
Haiti, as a country, is struggling to move forward. Haiti Foundation of Hope is offering partnership and support to the poorest of the poor in Northern Haiti as they struggle to create a better life for themselves and a better future for their children. It can be overwhelming when the problems are so complex.
As a board, we pray and study and dialogue with others as we move forward one year at a time, one day at a time! in our commitment to fulfill our mission statement.
On Easter Day we will celebrate the resurrection of Christ. This is the Hope of HFH – while it is impossible to save ourselves; God is miraculously doing the impossible and offering new life to the people of Terre Blanche and to each one of us.
